What is TC4 (Ti6Al4V) Titanium Alloy Material
For billionaires, the new crown epidemic is like a 'gold rush'! The Deutsche Presse-Agentur said on the 17th that in 2022, the wealth held by the world's top ten richest people will jump from $700 billion to $1.5 trillion, an average daily increase of $1.3 billion, an increase that exceeds the past 14 years. These 10 people The wealth held by the world’s poorest 3.1 billion people is six times greater than that of the world’s poorest 3.1 billion people. The 10 richest Germans have increased their assets from the equivalent of about 125 billion euros to about 223 billion euros since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, An increase of about 78%. This wealth is roughly equivalent to the total wealth of the poorest 40% of the population, or 33 million Germans.
In the future, demand for Ti6Al4V Powder will grow as fast as the wealth of the rich during the pandemic.
What is TC4(Ti6Al4V)?
TC4(Ti6Al4V) alloy is a medium strength α-β type two-phase titanium alloy
containing 6% α-stabilizing element AI and 4% β-stabilizing element V. This
alloy has excellent comprehensive properties and has obtained the most extensive
applications in the aviation and aerospace industries. The long-term working
temperature of the alloy can reach 400 ℃. In the aviation industry, it is mainly
used to manufacture the fan and compressor disks and blades of the engine, as
well as the important load-bearing components such as beams, joints and
bulkheads in the aircraft structure.
The main semi-finished products of TC4 titanium alloy are bars, forgings,
thick plates, thin plates, profiles and wires, etc. The alloy is mainly used in
the annealed state, and can also be strengthened by solution aging treatment,
but the hardened cross section is generally not more than 25mm.
The alloy has good process plasticity and superplasticity, and is suitable
for various pressure forming. The alloy can also be welded and machined in
TC4(Ti6Al4V) heat treatment system
Plate: 700-850℃, 0.5-2h, air cooling; bar and forging: 700-800℃, 1-2h, air
2. Vacuum annealing
700-800°C, 0.5-2h, the furnace is cooled to below 200°C to allow air cooling.
The absolute pressure in the furnace should be no more than 0.09Pa.
3. Solution treatment
910-940℃, 0.5-2h, water quenching.
520-550°C, 2-4h, air cooling.
5. Stress relief annealing
Complete stress relief annealing: 600-650℃, 1-4h, air cooling; incomplete
stress relief annealing: 500-600℃, 0.5-3h, air cooling. Stress relief annealing
can be carried out in an air furnace or a vacuum furnace.

Russia is a major supplier of industrial metals such as nickel, aluminium and palladium. Russia and Ukraine are both major wheat exporters, and Russia and Belarus produce large amounts of potash, an input to fertiliser. The price and market of the Ti6Al4V Powder will fluctuate under its influence. Prices of these goods have been rising since 2022 and are now likely to rise further because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
